1 a year- but not every year.
I seem to get one every two years or so, but I'd always been a historical collector.
Now I am getting into AGT, look out!
Right now I want 21, 25, 26, 4, and Molly and Nellie. Plus maybe Jess. There are two other AGT's I really, like too!
Plus all the cut AGT stuff . . . the seaside cabana collection, the holloween costumes, etc. etc.

The money is the factor, too. I think it someone gave me $1000 fun money, it could be spend on AG in a heartbeat (and maybe an outfit or two for me).
I keep telling myself that I want more because I just started and "need" to get things going, but I don't know if that's going to be true. A real collection kind of feeds on itself, doesn't it??
That said, I would love to have 2 this year (by Christmas)--my first two, and then after that, probably limit to one a year, at most. I honestly don't see myself having 8 dolls, but I'll bet several of you said that years ago (or months ago). . . .

It's one a year for me. Bitty was my one for this year, and next year I'm hoping to get an AGT at AGPLA.
I have a nice little system. Last year I bought Felicity for myself as a High School graduation present, lol. And I recieved Nellie for Christmas. This year, I'll be purchasing Elizabeth (next week!) and asking for either Kit or AGT25 for Christmas, and I know my grandparents will get her, it's a pretty easy gift [img]smile.gif[/img] .
Next year, I'm pretty sure this will change. I will be getting Addy at AGPLA, and perhaps another doll there, too (Jess? AGT14? AGT24?), it all depends on how much money I can not spend between now and then and how much I can force myself to not spend at Disneyland, haha. And, I will, of course, ask for a doll for Christmas (Ruthie/Emily?), so I might end up with 3+ dolls next year!
I really don't like the idea of accumulating dolls at such a fast pace, and I don't know how many are going to comfortably fit where I've got them. I'm probably going to need some risers in the next year. Which makes me sad. It already takes me about an hour and a half to change the 5 I've got and put everything neatly away.
I think the reason I don't get a million dolls, besides money, is that I really like the outfits. I feel like I've gotten much more for my money to get 3-4 new outfits than a doll. And I find it nice to be able to have a NEW favorite for a pretty long time before another one comes along. I'm disappointed I've waited so long to get Elizabeth, I'm going to get the next new one (Kit or AGT25) about 2 and a half months later.
I have an ever-growing list of AG dolls I want, and intend to have every one on my list someday. I just don't care how fast I go about it.
I am a very poor example. In ten months I've gotten six AGs, 7 GOMLs, 4 Collector Barbies and 17 Bratz. The only limiting factor for me is $$$. I'm hoping to hold my willpower up a little bit so I can complete my Historical collection by next summer: Kaya, Samantha, Josefina and Addy. And then there's #4, #25, and #15. And that's just AG/AGOT! [img]tongue.gif[/img]
I have gotten an AG doll every other year since 2001, when I got Kit. I got Kit and Elizabeth for birthdays, and Josefina this past summer as an elementary school "graduation" present! LOL! I am planning on breaking that pattern by getting a doll in November, one in December, and one in February [img]tongue.gif[/img] ! MUHUAHAHAHAHA!!! LOL!
I keep thinking there needs to be some limit to this too, but these dolls bring DD so much joy that I find it hard to stop as well. She just got Elizabeth and 26 for her b-day. They were presents from family members who would rather buy dolls vs. outfits, so I guess I will have to provide the clothes for my grandolls! I am guessing we may get another doll or 2 before Christmas as well. [img]eek.gif[/img]
